Sympathy Card & Tutorial!

Hi OCS Fans!
Today I wanted to share with you a card and tutorial using the "Deepest Sympathy" stamp from the new Spring 2016 Release from High Hopes Stamps
I created this card with Distress inks and water. Here we go with the tutorial.......
First thing I did was gather all the supplies that I needed!
With this new release you are able to purchase matching SVG files for your cutting machine. Using my Silhouette Cameo I cut out the outline to use with my stamp.
You can either cut out the image to match the stamp exactly or cut the file that gives you a nice border around your stamp. I chose to use the SVG file that gives you a border.
The MISTI is the perfect tool to stamp your image onto the cut SVG file. Don't throw out the cut outline piece of your paper. It will help you greatly in the next few steps.
To get started I stamped the image onto the grid paper that comes with the MISTI
Now you use that piece of outline paper that I said not to get rid of. Line it up with your stamped image making sure that you have an even border around the image. Secure it with the magnets that come with your MISTI.
Now put in the "puzzle piece", ink up your stamp with Onyx Black Versafine ink and stamp the image again.
See how perfect your stamped image comes out with a nice white border around the edge?!
I carefully removed the image using my tweezers making sure not to smudge any of the ink. Using black embossing powder I coated the stamped image and then shook off the excess powder.
Use your heat tool and heat the powder to emboss your image.
If you want to make a few of the same card don't remove the cutout paper or the stamp on the "door" of the MISTI. Just repeat the steps as many times as you want for identical stamped images.
The  next step is to colour your image.
I inked the Distress ink pads onto my clear acrylic block that I am using as my palette.
I am using a brush that has water inside of it. Using the Distress ink with water from the brush I coloured my image. The embossed lines help to keep the ink and water from spreading. If your brush becomes too wet just wipe it off on a paper towel.
The finished coloured image!
Using my Silhouette again, I cut another SVG file that will layer behind the stamped image as a really pretty mat. Each SVG file you purchase comes with 2 sizes, so it's perfect for setting off your image!
I decided to make a 4.25" x 5.5" card. I cut my papers at 4.25"x 5.5", 4 1/8"x 5 3/8" and 4"x 5.25". I glued all my layers together and then adhered a piece of yellow ribbon to the left side of the papers. Then I glued the papers to the card base, popped up the image with foam squares and attached a yellow bow.
Distress Ink Colours:
Dusty Concord
Scattered Straw
Mowed Lawn
And once again the finished card!
